At Cinflix we encode our movie files for the best possible picture and quality, at the lowest possible bandwidth. We have determined this to between 2 to 3Mb/s. (Note If you are further from us, for example outside of the US, your may need to have a higher rate to compensate for the distance). With the current technology  available today this is a very low requirement, especially considering that most 4G phones range from 3-6Mb/s, and DSL / cable are available up to 40Mb/s.

STEP 1:

If you are having frequent pauses and stops, the first thing that should be checked is your current bandwidth. There are 2 websites we recommend for this test, as we have tested them thoroughly, and have gotten accurate results.

a. www.testmy.net

b. www.speedtet.net

STEP 2:

If your results are below 3Mbs, you will need to contact your Internet Service Provider (ISP), to determine if there is a problem with your connection, they can usually tell you your connection rate by doing a connection test directly to your modem, and can help you troubleshoot any problems, such as modem  / wifi configuration etc.

STEP 3:

If you have verified you have a good connection then upgrade to the latest version of Microsoft's Silverlight (PC / MAC)

www.microsoft.com/getsilverlight/

STEP 4:

If you still have a problem contact us and we will help you troubleshoot it, especially if the issue is with only 1 or 2 titles, we can review them to see if they need to be re-encoded.
